Member for Riverstone Kevin Conolly today welcomed improvements to the local bus network, including new and extended routes, which will create over 160 extra weekly services for commuters.

"Sydney's North West is growing and from 3 June, we'll be delivering enhancements to the local bus network to provide better coverage of the local area," said Mr Conolly.

"One of the major changes is the introduction of route 747 which will operate between Riverstone and Rouse Hill Town Centre seven days a week. Buses will also extend to and from the Elara Estate at Marsden Park during the middle of the day on weekdays and on weekends."

As a result of this new service, route T75 will be altered to operate between Blacktown and Rouse Hill only, with commuters travelling between Rouse Hill and Riverstone benefitting from around 30 extra weekly services on route 747, including new Sunday services.

A part-time service between Riverstone Station and Rouse Hill Town Centre via Tallawong Road, Guntawong Road and Cudgegong Road will operate as Route 742 to ensure continued service to that locality.

School services will continue to service students in the local area currently served by the T75 between Riverstone and Rouse Hill after the changes are introduced.

Route 746 between Riverstone and Rouse Hill via Box Hill will be extended to provide Box Hill residents with access to Rouse Hill Town Centre, with 85 services added to the timetable each week.

"We're also extending route 751. This service currently runs between Marsden Park, Colebee and Blacktown, but will be extended to Rouse Hill Town Centre via Schofields, including a stop at Schofields Station.  The route will also be changed to serve a larger area of Colebee, as part of a 12 month trial," Mr Conolly said.

"This change will also deliver over 50 extra weekly services between Blacktown and Marsden Park on the existing section of route 751."

There will also be minor timetable changes to most Busways services operated in Western Sydney and commuters are advised to plan their journey at
