The Member for Riverstone Kevin Conolly today encouraged local community groups to apply for funding under the NSW Government's 2015 Community Building Partnership program.
Funding is available for local infrastructure projects that will benefit the local community. Applications for funding are open until Friday 7 August 2015.
"The Community Building Partnership program can make a real difference to the Riverstone community so I encourage local groups to get involved," Mr Conolly said.
"The NSW Government is looking for projects that will deliver positive social, recreational or environmental outcomes through the construction or improvement of community facilities.
The program also helps create local jobs by supporting local businesses.
"Our recent state budget outlined a record $68 billion infrastructure program, including major transport and road projects, and upgraded schools and hospitals.
"But we also know the importance of local infrastructure projects and how they can deliver vital improvements in the local community.
"I encourage groups in Riverstone to put forward their proposals."
Since being elected I have been fortunate to support projects such as:
Hambledon Public School P & C $10,000 for community seating.
Blacktown City Council $38,000 for Riverstone Park tennis amenities, Quakers Hill Park soccer amenities and refurbishment of Quakers Hill Neighbourhood Centre.
Quakers Hill Uniting Church $23,000 to help rebuild facilities and children's play area after being destroyed by fire.
Applicants can apply for the Community Building Partnership Grant at
