Written on the 21 June 2016 by Kevin Conolly
Member for Riverstone, Mr Kevin Conolly MP, has announced that applications for funding through the 2016 Community Building Partnership program are opening on Monday, 13 June 2016.
The NSW Government is again committing funds to new infrastructure-based projects that meet a need in the local community.
"These grants are open to incorporated not-for-profit groups such as charities, sporting, cultural and social clubs and local councils that are looking to build or refurbish essential facilities for their community," Mr Conolly said.
"In previous years, the program has helped clubs, charities and local government deliver new infrastructure for community groups, and helped pay for much-needed improvements to local sports facilities, parks and clubs. This is grassroots funding which directly benefits communities."
Grant applications must have a minimum value of $2,500 to be eligible for funding under the program.
"If your organisation needs funding for the building, refurbishment or enhancement of facilities that deliver positive social, recreational, inclusive and environmental outcomes for the community, I encourage you to apply," Mr Conolly said.
"There is a high demand for funds through the program, so please ensure you take the required time and care in preparing your application against the assessment criteria."
Applications for funding are open from Monday 13 June will close at 5pm, Friday 22 July 2016.
