Member for Riverstone, Kevin Conolly MP, has today announced a total of $22,195 in NSW Government funding to be shared among 4 sports clubs in the Riverstone electorate as part of the 2015/16 Local Sport Grant Program.

Funding has been provided to:

1. Riverstone Little Athletics for the construction of a permanent discus cage with a concrete throwing circle at Riverstone Park,
2. Quakers Hill Little Athletics Centre Inc for the purchase of a line marking machine for use at Wright Reserve,
3. Riverstone Junior Rugby League Football Club for the purchase of sport equipment, and
4. Super Sikhs Sports and Cultural Association for the purchase of uniforms and equipment.

"The main aim of this program is to increase regular and on-going participation opportunities in sport and active recreation in our community. Sport is a huge part of our way of life and the NSW Government recognises that" Mr Conolly said.

"The NSW Government is committed to delivering the best infrastructure to the people of NSW and I look forward to seeing the benefits that the sports grants funding will provide to these clubs in our community," Mr Conolly added.

"I am pleased the Local Sport Grants Program is conducted to help clubs make healthy sporting opportunities available to local people. I urge club officials to look out for next year's program  or contact my office to register interest so that we can advise when next year's program is open," said Mr Conolly.
