Kevin Conolly, Member for Riverstone, congratulates local students on their HSC results, released today.

"The HSC can be a stressful time for students, so the release of results today will be a relief for many. I wish our local HSC students all the very best for their next step, whether it's a gap year, employment, university or TAFE" Kevin Conolly said.

"I particularly want to congratulate the students from the Riverstone Electorate who are among the distinguished achievers in this year's HSC, including:

29 students from Wyndham College in Quakers Hill
27 students from Glenwood High School
13 students from St Marks Catholic College in Stanhope Gardens
8 students from Rouse Hill Anglican College
7 students from St John Paul II Catholic College in Quakers Hill
5 students from Norwest Christian College in Rouse Hill
3 students from Australian Christian College in Marsden Park

A Distinguished Achiever is any student who achieved Band 6 for a course, or in the case of extension courses, Band E4.
"Almost 70,000 students sat at least one HSC subject this year, so to have received a mark this high is an incredible achievement that these students should be very proud" said Kevin Conolly.

"The HSC is a qualification that will be a pathway to further study for many students. But it is important to remember that it is just one way of getting into the university course or career you want to pursue" said Kevin Conolly.

Eligible students can download their HSC certificate and other credentials from 30 December. The official HSC certificates are due to arrive by post from 20 January 2016.

The Board of Studies, Teaching and Educational Standards HSC Inquiry Centre 1300 138 323 will be open from 8.00am today for students with questions about their results.
