Member for Riverstone Kevin Conolly is urging residents to have their say in shaping the future of the "West Schofields" and "Marsden Park North" precincts. Draft masterplans for both precincts are now being exhibited by the Department of Planning and Environment.

"There are now two draft masterplans on exhibition for locals to comment on, West Schofields precinct and Marsden Park North, and now is the time for residents to do so," said Mr Conolly.

"West Schofields precinct" is the area between Bells Creek and Eastern Creek. "Marsden Park North" is the part of Marsden Park between Eastern Creek and Richmond Road, north of Excelsior Avenue (previously Vine Street West).

The NSW Department of Planning and Environment, in collaboration with Blacktown City Council, has prepared a draft West Schofields precinct masterplan for up to 4,400 dwellings. To assist the community in having its say, two drop-in sessions will be held at the Riverstone Schofields Memorial Club at 23 Market Street, Riverstone on:

Wednesday 12 September, 4pm 7pm
Saturday 15 September, 10am 1pm

The draft masterplan is on exhibition until Friday 28 September 2018 for the community to review and provide feedback.

Now there is the draft Marsden Park North masterplan that went on exhibition this week that will guide development for the community, including 6,200 new homes over the next 20 years in this area also.

To assist the community in having its say for this draft masterplan, two drop-in sessions will be held at the Riverstone Neighbourhood Centre (Senior Citizens' Hall), Riverstone on:

Thursday 20 September, 4pm 7pm
Saturday 22 September, 10am 1pm

This draft masterplan is on exhibition for the local community to have their say until Friday 19 October 2018.

"I urge everyone to have a look and, if interested, to make a submission on these two draft masterplans that will shape the future on our local area," said Mr Conolly.
