
LOCAL GROUPS GET FUNDING FROM COMMUNITY BUILDING PARTNERSHIPSWritten on the 12th of April 2012 Kevin Conolly MP, member for Riverstone has welcomed the announcement of funding for local projects under the NSW Government’s Community Building Partnership program. Mr Conolly said he was delighted the NSW Premier Barry O’Farrell today announced the roll-out of $35 million for 1424 community projects throughout the state. “The electorate of Riverstone has 11 projects ranging from $1,974 to $50,000 that will receive funding, making a great impact on the day to day lives of our communities. “This is the delivery of another election commitment from the NSW Liberals & Nationals Government to renovate infrastructure across the State,” Mr Conolly said. Local Projects to receive funding are:
• St Paul's Riverstone - $48,000 to upgrade community hall facilities “There was strong competition for the available funds and a high level of interest from the community with almost 3,000 applications received across the state in total. “The total funding requests for the electorate exceeded $1.95 million, a significant increase over funding sought in the previous program. “I look forward to seeing the benefits to our communities as projects are undertaken and more importantly put into use across the area", Mr Conolly said. |
