Written on the 26 February 2016 by Kevin Conolly

Member for Riverstone, Kevin Conolly MP today announced more bus services will be provided to Kellyville Ridge, Stanhope Gardens and Glenwood residents with 80 additional weekly services introduced from tomorrow Saturday, 27 February.

"These additional services will be welcomed by the thousands of local commuters who are travelling by bus each day," Kevin Conolly MP said.

"The NSW Government is committed to making public transport the number one option by providing extra services when and where they're needed."

Additional weekly bus services are:

158 additional weekly trips on Route 607X* (Rouse Hill to City via T-way and M2),
20 additional weekly trips on Route 617X (Rouse Hill to City via Beaumont Hills),
65 additional weekly trips on Route 619 (Rouse Hill to Macquarie Park via Castle Hill).

"We've listened to feedback from local bus users and are making these changes to improve capacity on popular routes and busy periods, including during the day, evenings and on weekends," Kevin Conolly said.

"Our transport planners will continue to monitor demand for buses in the Riverstone electorate and we will make further adjustments where required.

"Local residents will be notified of the additional services in advance and I encourage all travellers to plan their journey ahead of time," Kevin Conolly said.

People can go online and use the trip planner at transportnsw.info.

They can also plan trips by downloading real-time transport apps, and Riverstone commuters can receive bus service updates for their area by following the new Transport Info Twitter handle @BusesNorthWest. Alternatively, they can call 131 500.

*Additional services on 607X will begin Saturday 27 February, while the remainder of services will begin from Monday 29 February.
