Member for Riverstone, Mr Kevin Conolly MP visited Riverstone Police Station this morning and joined with Acting Superintendent Paul Carrett to personally welcome Probationary Constable Bonnie Alexander to Quakers Hill Local Area Command and congratulate her for graduating from Goulburn Police Academy last week alongside 177 other NSW Police recruits from Class 330.

"On behalf of the community I thank our newest recruit Probationary Constable Bonnie Alexander for her commitment to combating crime and dedicating her career to protecting our community," Mr Conolly said.

Probationary Constable Alexander has commenced on-the-job training and will continue distance learning before graduating with an Associate Diploma in Policing Practice.

"Policing can be a very challenging career that involves encountering the best and worst of humanity and I'm very proud our community will benefit from the enthusiasm of an officer starting her new job on the beat," said Mr Conolly.

Probationary Constable Alexander said "I've always held a high regard for the police ever since I was a child, so I am very proud to now be a member of the police force."

"I'm confident the training completed at the Police Academy together with the on-the-job training undertaken at Quakers Hill LAC under the command of Acting Superintendent Paul Carrett will ensure Probationary Constable Bonnie Alexander is well prepared for this important role of serving our community," Mr Conolly said.

The men and women taking their attestations will join more than 3,759 officers who have become sworn officers in the NSW Police Force since 2011.

The NSW Liberals & Nationals Government is committed to boosting the authorised strength of the NSW Police to 16,795 over this term of Government.
