Member for Riverstone Mr Kevin Conolly MP today called for nominations for the 2018 NSW Seniors Festival Local Achievement Award.
"Seniors help make our local community stronger and better," said Mr Conolly.
Mr Conolly said the awards are a wonderful way to showcase the talents and contributions of seniors living in our local community, as part of the special 60th Anniversary celebrations of the popular NSW Seniors Festival.
"Seniors make a real difference to their families, recreational groups, businesses and organisations, and we want to celebrate them," Mr Conolly said.
Minister for Ageing, Tanya Davies urged all members of the public to take this opportunity to celebrate the older people in their lives.
"Seniors have a wealth of knowledge and experience to offer, and they continue to make significant contributions to communities across NSW," Mrs Davies said.
Nominations for the 2018 NSW Seniors Festival Local Achievement Awards are now open until Friday, 16 March 2018. Award recipient/s will be announced on Friday 23 March 2018 and will be presented as part of NSW Seniors Festival which runs from Wednesday 4 to Sunday 15 April 2018.
