Member for Riverstone, Mr Kevin Conolly MP hosted a visit by the NSW Premier, Gladys Berejiklian today to see first-hand where a portion of the $52 million worth of construction works for schools in the Riverstone electorate will be used to upgrade Schofields Public School.

The school is set to receive:

·         26 brand new classrooms
·         new staff/admin area
·         new library
·         new amenities
·         upgraded canteen
·         new covered outdoor learning area (COLA).

"I am delighted the Premier has taken a personal interest in seeing where these much needed funds will go towards meeting growing enrolment demand across the local area," said Mr Conolly.

The Premier and Mr Conolly met with the school principal, Colin Ross and students. Then they inspected the site where the new facilities will be built.

"It is vitally important our local community has top-quality education resources for our students now and into the future and I'm pleased the NSW Government is delivering these resources" Mr Conolly said.

""NSW is in the midst of the biggest investment in public school infrastructure in the State's history," said Premier Berejiklian.

"Schofields Public is one of more than 120 school building projects as part of the NSW Government's record $4.2 billion investment in education over the next four years," Premier Berejiklian said.
