Kevin Conolly, Member for Riverstone, today announced NSW Government plans to boost parking at Schofields Station.

"We know that commuters using Schofields Station have been calling for more car parking spaces," said Mr Conolly.

"The NSW Government will construct a $40 million multi-storey facility, built over the existing station car parks, providing up to 700 spaces."

Subject to the planning approval process, the multi storey car park will be delivered by the end of 2020.

To help provide relief as soon as possible, around 130 temporary spaces will be provided on land adjacent to the station.

"Work on this solution will get underway in January with the extra spaces open to customers in the first quarter of 2019."

The extra parking will be delivered through the NSW Government's Transport Access Program.

More than $2 billion has been committed to the Transport Access Program since 2011, with more than 450 projects either completed or underway across the state.

As part of Sydney Metro North West, more than 4,000 new parking spaces will also be created at stations along the metro route, including 1,000 spaces at the new Tallawong Station.
