SCHOFIELDS ROAD UNDERPASS IS NOW OPEN TO MOTORISTS
Written on the 21 February 2018 by Kevin Conolly
Member for Riverstone Kevin Conolly is delighted to announce that the Schofields Road Underpass is now complete and open to motorists!
"The completion of this underpass section of Schofields Road is a major milestone of the NSW Liberals & Nationals Government's $340 million east-west corridor upgrade connecting Windsor Road and Richmond Road," Mr Conolly said.
While roadworks are still continuing to complete the final stages of widening sections of the road, motorists now have a new direct road route from Rouse Hill to Marsden Park, being able to drive underneath the Richmond railway line near Schofields Station. When completed shortly, the Schofields Road Upgrade project will be a four lane eight kilometre stretch of road section for motorists to enjoy.
"By offering motorists an alternative east-west route this new link will play a part in easing the congestion around the Garfield Road level crossing in Riverstone," Mr Conolly said.
